Our Story

One mile.
One weekend.
A whole lotta music.

What started as a simple idea — fill the Hill Country Mile with live music and let people wander from venue to venue — has grown into Boerne's signature music weekend.

Now in our fourth year, Music on the Mile turns historic Main Street into a two-day living festival. 35 musicians. 13 stages. Restaurants, breweries, wine rooms, and plazas all become venues. You walk, you discover, you stay for one more song.

No wristbands. No main-stage hierarchy. Just great music on a great street, made possible by the downtown merchants and sponsors who believe in this town.

Good to Know

Got Questions?

The stuff everyone asks, answered.

What time does the festival start?
We kick off at 11:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. First act starts on time, so get there early for coffee and a good spot.
How much does it cost?
Music on the Mile is free to attend. Food, drinks, and merchandise are available for purchase at each venue.
Where do I park?
Plenty of public parking is available along Main Street and on the surrounding side streets. Arrive early — the best spots fill up fast.
Is it family-friendly?
Yes. Daytime programming is family-friendly across most venues. Evening shows skew adult, and some venues are 21+ after certain hours — check the individual venue for details.
Can I bring my own chair?
You're welcome to. That said, most venues have ample seating inside and on their patios.
What if it rains?
The Mile happens rain or shine. Most venues are indoor or covered, and we'll move outdoor acts to nearby covered stages if the weather turns.
I'm a musician — how do I play?
